The Virtuous Woman, Who is she?

When we talk about the “Virtuous Woman,” it is usually in conversations where we hear men saying that they want God to send them a “Virtuous Woman,” or a “Godly woman,” it is also often a woman making the claim that she is a “Virtuous Woman,” or wants to be one. In these conversations, I have often wondered if men and women actually understood what a “Virtuous Woman,” is and what is required to be one and or to keep one. I have to confess myself, I have wondered in the past, if I possessed the qualities of a “Virtuous Woman.”  So I began to research this subject and the more I uncovered the true meaning of this outstanding woman by way of Knowledge, Revelation, Understanding and Wisdom, I realized that the “Virtuous Woman,” is not a woman that utilizes manipulation and or feminine wilds to survive in this world.  A True “Virtuous Woman,” is not a woman that is so preoccupied with getting a man that she forsakes her responsibilities and herself to get one. So many women are so focused on getting a man that nothing else matters; night and day their life is geared around getting a man in the club, at the gym, HOME DEPOT and or church, as opposed to how they can be a benefit to God and his Kingdom.  There are also some men who are preoccupied with getting a woman, some seek women for his pleasurable purposes and  when they decide to “GET SERIOIUS,”  they then began  to focus on getting a “GOOD GOD FEARING VIRTUOUS WOMAN.” (LOL.) And then you have those men who read the passage and take away the wrong interpretation of the Husband sitting at the city gate (men that doesn’t mean that you do not have to work).

A “Virtuous Woman,” is an accomplished woman (Proverbs 31:29). She is Industrious (Proverbs 31:16, 31:18), Productive (Proverbs 31:19, 31:27), Resourceful (Proverbs 31:13), Responsible (Proverbs 31:15), Inventive (Proverbs 31:24), Economical (Proverbs 31:24), Sensible (Proverbs 31:14), Respected (Proverbs 31:23, 31:28) as well as Respectful (Proverbs 31:26). The “Virtuous Woman,” whether at home or in the workforce or both is a very successful woman not just because of all the creative and resourceful ways she makes money, but also because she is confident in whom she is as a woman and her skills. The “Virtuous Woman,” knows who she belongs to and who keeps her, therefore she is able to rise while it is still night, and give meat to her entire household (Proverbs 31:15). It is not just her husband and her children that call her blessed, but the entire community because they can visually see that this woman, walks in favor and virtue seeps out of her every step.  The true “Virtuous Woman,” is the walking bill board of what to do in the workplace and in the home, she is the epitome of what a wife is suppose to be.   She is well respected because of her ethics, wisdom, moral and spiritual values. A “Virtuous Woman,” is not just a cute title that sounds good when having a Christian conversation nor is she a woman looking to be kept by a man. The husband of a true “Virtuous Woman,” can safely trust in her because he knows she will do him good and not evil all the days of her life (Proverbs 31:12) because she walks with the understanding of who she is as well as to whom she really belongs to. In Short, the husband of a ‘Virtuous Woman,” never has to worry about her taking advantage of him Mentally, Physically, Spiritually and most certainly Financially. This is why when a man finds a wife; he finds a good thing and obtainth “FAVOR” of the Lord (Proverbs 18:22) because she is for him as he is for her.

According to the Merriam- Webster dictionary, Virtuous means Efficacious, which means having power to produce a desire effect. Virtuous also means Potent meaning that you have a wielding force, authority, or influence; it means you’re powerful, if you happen to be a “Virtuous Woman. The word Virtuous also means having or exhibiting virtue as well as moral excellence.

God Bless you,

In Jesus name
