Every Day is a Gift
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
(Psalm 90:12, NIV)
God knows how to check the messenger doesn't he? LOL, last week I sent out the word on forgiveness, I have to say I did not feel much like forgiving anyone, mainly because I was hurt. I don't understand how people can just be so mean and cruel, but if the world was an easy, loving world then GOD would not need people like us to share his word and encourage others in the good times and the bad times.
Today as I sit at my kitchen table, I am grateful to have this opportunity to send this word to you without the threat of looking over my shoulder or doing something wrong. We live in a world, (even you in Bermuda S.E and M.O in Amsterdam) where we can pray, praise and worship without restraint ( You know what I mean in Mecca A.M) and yet, we often times refuse to because we are tired. Today, I am grateful, that I can take my time and digest the gravity of God's word and share it with you and get positive feedback. As I write this, I am overwhelmed and grateful that I was fired because that job did not bring me joy or peace nor did it sustain my soul. GOD is good to me, keeping me, when I am to foolish to even see him at work.
Yesterday, while in church, I was praying and I said to my Father in prayer, "Father, I do not know what you are doing (we say this so often in times of confusion), but thank you." The reason I share this is because in the middle of me saying, "I don't know what you are doing," God said to me, "I'm taking care of you." And that is my point today, even when we don't know what God is doing, he knows and it is "NEVER," what it looks like. "The just live by faith and not by sight," (Romans 1:17).
Be Blessed Family!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of today. I choose to focus on the blessing of each moment instead of allowing the little things to steal my joy. Keep me close to You always as I submit every area of my heart and mind to You. In Jesus’ Name. (www.joelosteen.com)
Amen.
